After having !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! looking for a winter vehicle, I finally got luck was able to purchase a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on Saturday. I left Pittsburgh on Monday to had back east to my parents place (2.5 hours) and while driving past Cochran Subaru outside of Pittsburgh, I noticed they had a Dark Gray BRZ in stock so I stopped. Fast forward 3 hours and a good deal, I was finally able to get into my BRZ (SR20 below)! Unfortunately, I don't have a ton of experience !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but a couple laps around the parking lot and i went for it. I made it home with a small amount of issues (3 stalls total).

Congrats! You'll learn fast (enough for some snow powerslides).

Does everyone on here own a FRS/BRZ? They are TERRIBLE cars, they are for girls really. What is my experience? I own an FR-S, and plan to keep it for years to come! I love it, and you will too!

Congrats!!

Rock on! sticks are great fun, and the BRZ is a sweet car

Congrats. Start burning out those crap tires so you have an excuse to buy some nice ones :)

Saw a GT-86 today, felt the want.
Visited the national Toyota website to look for added options (wheels etc.), picked everything I deemed worthwhile and ... this:
... which equals circa $73,265.00.
My reaction was as seen below.
"Entry-level sportscar" ... and I didn't even pick _all_ the things.

I'm not gonna lie when I say all the ones in my work's car park are owned by middle age women.
Middle age women with great taste in cars that is.

Please tell me that there is one that is a manual!
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:01 |

pretty sure they all are. Manuals aren't rare in Australia.

Ah, I see. I thought you were from the land of the free and the home of the hotdog.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:05 |

Where do you live? That's freaking insane.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:07 |
|
How's that even possible? The GT-86 starts at a mere €30k in Germany and there are no engine options I'm aware of.
Anyway, it's clear where they make most of their profits. Options. Those TRD parts are very expensive.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:09 |
|
Wait I'm confused... you say it's terrible then continue to say you own one and love it. Im obviously missing something here
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:10 |

Tis only a joke. I like for people that buy this car to be horribly offended and then realize I am joking.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:13 |

S000000....what happened to the car you were driving? Trade?
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:14 |

Lira? Yen? Bitcoin?
My FR-S, with optional TRD exhaust, FiveAxis spoiler and clear bra came in a hair under $31k CDN.

someone should get him some water.

Sounds like your parents are in my neck of the woods. I'm 2 hours east of pitt (Johnstown).

We have Snoop Dogg.
Someone get him some weed.

Underpowered. Don't forget underpowered. We should have bought V6 Mustangs.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:26 |
|
How could I forget, I mean everyday I am thinking "For 24K this car is really slow, a V6 Mustang would be slightly faster and worse handling. I should have bought it"

Base price of 30,450.00 € plus the admittedly hefty sum of 23,525.00 € for options, such as the 37J pearl white paint, alcantara/leather combo, black 18" OEM wheel with locks, TRD spoiler lid, diffusor, skirts and front clip, JBL stereo, TRD exhaust, TRD monoblock brakes all around, TRD stabi & strut. *rubs nose*
The brakes alone are 10k Euro. On a GT-86 ... that actually impresses me.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:28 |
|
Hahaha gotcha!
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:29 |
|
Maybe I was joking, so that way . . . alright fine, you got me.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:30 |

Germany, Euro zone, incl. VAT
While the base price is just over 30k € here, I managed to click together some 25k of options for that ca .... 10k EUR monoblock brakes on a GT-86, imagine that.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:35 |
|
Middle of Euroland.
To be fair, you can pick up a normal GT-86 w/o miles from a dealer lot for around 25k EUR. I just wanted to see what all the TRD goodies add up to ... and add up they did. 5k EUR wheels, 10k EUR brakes. ;)
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:43 |

I have weeds in my garden
someone get me some Roundup
![]() 11/26/2013 at 19:50 |
|
OK, that kind of explains it. That's still like what, 25k Euro in upgrades in total? You could buy teo GT-86's for that haha.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 21:37 |
|
Wait, is he back to Snoop Dogg now? Last I heard he was Snoop Lion and all "gangsta's are bad and shit".
![]() 11/26/2013 at 21:39 |
|
Congrats on the two new cars in three days. Remember, when learning to drive a stick it is better to peel out than stall. I can't back that up, and remember to keep the rpm's under the recommended level until the break in is done.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 23:07 |
|
I don't know what he is. But he will always be Snoop Doggy Dogg to me. :'(
![]() 11/26/2013 at 23:15 |

Hehehe, I see what you did.
![]() 11/26/2013 at 23:30 |

Congrats!
Now go talk to Nameless about some exhaust/performance upgrades ;)

Didn't he just start calling himself Snoopzilla or something??? This guy really confuses me...

Thank you! My dad is giving me thorough lessons throughout the weekend (I also think he's happy to drive a stick again for a little bit). I'm excited to get better with it.

They are up in the Clearfield county area, north of Altoona so close.

Thank you!

Haha, I guess I should have mentioned that in the post. I traded in my 2012 liberty on the BRZ.

Thank you, I'm hoping to get comfortable enough with a manual over the weekend so I can start snow drifting before the season ends.
![]() 11/27/2013 at 10:42 |

Haha, yeah. This is going to be the first time in a long time I'll be happy to buy new tires.

Thanks! And I'm holding off on any upgrades until the Cherokee makes it through the winter and I know what (if anything) it'll need.
![]() 11/27/2013 at 11:03 |

Thank you! And I'll keep that in mine. The old man is giving me some driving lessons over the weekend, so hopefully I wont be doing either by the end of the weekend

aha, that's awesome. same thing for me. I drive an 03 Accord Coupe 5 speed, first car obviously never driven a stick before. My dad was glad to teach me and for the first month or so he would take it whenever he could because it's a fun little car. have fun with the Toyobaru
